Privacy Policy
Last updated September 15, 2026
Squip is a young, independently operated product currently in beta. This is a plain-English policy, written to actually be read. If anything here is unclear, email squipadmin@squipit.com.
1. Who we are
Squip (“we,” “us”) is currently operated by Gaurab (CEO) and the Squip team. We haven't incorporated yet — until we do, Gaurab is the individual responsible for the data described in this policy. This policy covers both this website (squipit.com) and the Squip app.
2. What we collect
- Account information — your name and email address, collected when you sign up through our authentication provider (Clerk).
- Case information — what you tell us about your support issue, plus anything you attach (screenshots, images) or say to us if you use voice input.
- Payment information — if you buy credits, payment is handled directly by our payment processors (Stripe and Razorpay). We don't see or store your full card number.
- Case activity & audit trail — a record of what Squip did on your case (pages visited, messages exchanged, outcomes), so you can review it and we can show you a transcript.
- Basic usage data — things like sign-in timestamps and error logs, used to keep the service running and to fix bugs.
3. How we use it
We use what you give us to:
- Work your case — Squip acts on the information you provide to contact the merchant's support system on your behalf.
- Process credit purchases and keep your balance accurate.
- Send you account and case-status updates (activation, progress, outcome).
- Improve how Squip handles future cases.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your case content to advertise to you.
4. What we never take from you automatically
Logins, one-time codes, and payment approvals are never handled unattended — Squip pauses and waits for you to enter them yourself. The same is true for anything irreversible, like closing an account or accepting a partial settlement: that's always your call.
5. Who we share it with
Necessarily, the merchant or support system you've asked us to contact — Squip has to talk to them to work your case. Beyond that, we share data only with the infrastructure providers that keep Squip running: our authentication provider (Clerk), our database and storage provider (Supabase), our compute host, our payment processors (Stripe, Razorpay), and the network providers that route browsing sessions. Each only gets what it needs to do its part — nobody else.
6. How long we keep it
We keep your account and case data for as long as your account is active, so your case history stays available to you. You can ask us to delete your account and associated data at any time — email us and we'll take care of it, other than what we're required to retain (e.g. payment records for tax/accounting purposes).
7. Your choices
You can ask to see, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you at any time by emailing squipadmin@squipit.com.
8. Security
Each case runs in an isolated browser session — nothing carries between merchants. We use industry-standard safeguards to protect your data, but no system is perfectly secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security.
9. Children's privacy
Squip isn't directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.
10. Changes to this policy
We'll update this page if what we collect or how we use it changes, and update the date at the top when we do.
